Assessment Pattern |
Continuous Assessment: three visits from a placement tutor, each of which will result in a report written by that tutor - 100%
A mark of at least 40% in each Unit of Assessment is required to pass the module.

This module aims to ensure that your placement proceeds appropriately, from the points of view of the employer, the University and you. Particular attention will be paid to your motivation and general ability. |

Learning Outcomes |
On successful completion of this module you should be able to: • Demonstrate satisfactory willingness and motivation in carrying out your work. • Work independently and competently in a professional/commercial environment, with appropriate attention to detail and quality. • Demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills and behaviour in the workplace. • Demonstrate awareness of commercial/external factors affecting your work. • Manage your time effectively and plan and prioritise your work. • Provide evidence of appropriate creative and/or technical achievement.
Transferable Skills: • All of the above skills are transferable.

Methods of Teaching/Learning |
• Regular work for a placement employer. • Keeping a placement diary. • Discussion with visiting tutor.
Reassessment: • As this module involves a placement with an employer, it is not feasible to run a resit during the Summer vacation. In view of this, if you fail this module no resit will be available and you will be expected to transfer to the version of the programme without a placement year.
