Assessment Pattern
Continuous Assessment: three visits from a placement tutor, each of which will result in a report written by that tutor - 100%

A mark of at least 40% in each Unit of Assessment is required to pass the module.
Module Overview
This module aims to ensure that your placement proceeds appropriately, from the points of view of the employer, the University and you. Particular attention will be paid to your motivation and general ability.

• To ensure that your placement proceeds appropriately, from the points of view of the employer, the University and you.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module you should be able to:
• Demonstrate satisfactory willingness and motivation in carrying out your work.

Module Content
The topics to be covered by you will be determined by your employer.
Methods of Teaching/Learning
• Regular work for a placement employer.
• Keeping a placement diary.
• Discussion with visiting tutor.

Reassessment:
• As this module involves a placement with an employer, it is not feasible to run a resit during the Summer vacation. In view of this, if you fail this module no resit will be available and you will be expected to transfer to the version of the programme without a placement year.
