Continuous Assessment: a report written by the student’s employer at the end of the placement - 100%

A mark of at least 40% in each Unit of Assessment is required to pass the module.

Module Aims
• To develop students’ professional skills in a working environment.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module you should be able to:
• Demonstrate satisfactory willingness and motivation in carrying out your work.
• Work independently in a professional/commercial environment.
• Demonstrate appropriate interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate appropriate behaviour in the workplace (e.g. punctuality, reliability, attitude to authority).

Module Content
The topics to be covered by each student will be determined by his/her employer.
Methods of Teaching/Learning
• Regular work for a placement employer.

Reassessment:
• As this module involves a placement with an employer, it is not feasible to run a resit during the Summer vacation. In view of this, if you fail this module no resit will be available and you will be expected to transfer to the version of the programme without a placement year.
