Module Overview
This is a level 3 module for Spanish. It is taught in the target language over the whole year, one contact hours per teaching week. Attendance is compulsory.
Prerequisites/Co-requisites
Successful completion of Level 2 Spanish modules or equivalent
Module Aims
The module will provide students with:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Spain’s major economic aspects, the context of business of contemporary Spain.
  • Improved awareness of the importance of working in Modern Spanish society
Vocabulary and concepts necessary to read, write and debate economic themes in Spanish.
Learning Outcomes

At the end of this module, students will:

  • be able to understand and reflect on the material being studied
  • be able to evaluate critically business documents
  • be able to extract linguistic and cultural aspects from the texts under examination
  • be able to appreciate the importance of the impact of economy in Spanish society

Two contact hour per week over both semesters
