Module Aims
This module aims to take a contemporary stance on each of the broad approaches to personality and intelligence. Students will be encouraged to consider how each approach can be applied to psychology today, and are also encouraged to connect and integrate different areas of psychology.
Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students should be able to critically evaluate each of the main approaches to normal and abnormal personality, and compare and contrast the main features of these approaches. Students should also be able to take a critical approach to contemporary theories of intelligence and ability, and to consider the implications of individual differences research for applied areas of psychology. Students should be able to demonstrate an ability to integrate different psychological perspectives.

Lecture 9: Individual differences and the psychology of interpersonal relationships
