Sufficient credits at Level HE2. A training placement approved by the Professional Training Tutor.

Module Aims

To enable students having undertaken a period of professional training to report on their work in written form, for the purpose of assessment and to identify strategies for professional development.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module you will be able to:
  • Articulate your professional and personal experience of the placement in report format
  • Critically review and appraise the main activities and the range of tasks/activities performed by you during the placement
  • Evaluate your role within the host organisation
  • Describe and analyse the context in which you were working,with particular reference to the host organisation, its administration and structure
  • Analyse and evaluate the waysin which the range of tasks/activities utilised and extended skills and knowledge, including creative and/or technical achievements
  • Reflect upon and describe areas of activity and responsibility, including problems and how they were resolved
  • Reflect upon and described the training benefit of the professional placement
  • Evaluate your professional development over the whole placement period, with particular reference to development since the mid-term report
  • Reflect upon and made use of feedback
  • Recognise your own strengths and weaknesses in the professional context
  • Identify strategies for future professional development
