Assessment Pattern |
Coursework (40% of total assessment)
30%: A short recital presented as part of a public concert towards the end of the first semester 5 to 10 minutes playing required.
10%: A reflective diary. Up to 1,000 words with a deadline of Friday week 11, Spring Semester
Examination (60% of total assessment)
A short recital presented as part of a public concert during May. 10 to 15 minutes playing required. |

Prerequisites/Co-requisites |
Prerequisites: A pass of 60% or more in Level HE2 Solo Performance and the permission of the Programme Director Recital Co-requisites: A must be taken in conjunction with Ensemble 3. |

Module Aims |
To further your development as a solo performer, and to present a short public recital at a standard that aspires to the professional. |

Learning Outcomes |
By the end of this module you should be able to:
- demonstrate enhanced instrumental/vocal ability in a short recital
- perform in public, with authority and communication, and at an appropriate level
- demonstrate technical, musical, presentational skills and stylistic awareness
- demonstrate an awareness of some of the background issues relevant to performance

- Attendance at Performance Seminars and concerts as required.
- Regular instrumental/vocal lessons.
