Coursework
|
A portfolio comprising:
- three or more original compositions.
- a recording of at least one of the works (CD format preferred).
You will attend a viva voce examination, on the folio, towards the end of the Spring Semester.
The assessment is based principally on the compositions themselves, but account will also be taken of presentation of the folio, including practical matters and manuscript techniques. The CD recording is not part of the assessment; rather it provides proof of practical collaboration. The criteria for judgement of the compositions will be musicality, originality, creativity, enterprise, practicality, and versatility, to a greater extent than required at Level HE2.
