• Introduce you to research methods that support creative practice. • Forge a connection between your practice and broader musical culture. • Develop analytic insight into idiomatic compositional practice. • Develop practical skill in idiomatic compositional practice. |

On successful completion of this module you should be able to:
• Carry out research and analysis in support of creative practice. • Understanding the value and process of research-based strategies in support of creative practice. • Compose more strongly idiomatic music. • Compose for a number of specified occasions and situations. • Interact with confidence with performers of your music. • Present your scores in a clear and professional manner.
