To develop further techniques learnt in Level 1 Analysis and apply these to music drawn from the l9th and early 20th centuries |

| Learning Outcomes |
Upon completion of this module you should be able to:
- present analytical findings in appropriate diagrams and graphs within a coherently structured analytical essay
- analyse the structures and processes which characterise the expanded tonal styles of 19th & and early 20th-century music

| The module will draw upon a range of musical works exemplifying different styles of tonal music from 1800 onwards |

| Methods of Teaching/Learning |
10 two-hour lectures. Small exercises may be set as the course proceeds, but will not count towards the final assessment.
