- Piece 1 (plus its recording) - 30% of total assessment
- Piece 2 (recording optional) - 30% of total assessment
- Piece 3 (plus its recording) - 40% of total assessment
- The final weighted mark may at the discretion of the examiners be raised or lowered (maximum 2% either way) in recognition of aspects of presentation (including manuscript techniques).

Module Content |
Manuscript techniques. Composition for unaccompanied melody instrument (coursework 1), with some study of models from which to learn. Guidance towards several opportunities for coursework 2, towards a piece for the Joyœ Dixey concert (examination), and towards presentation of the complete folio. |
