Module Overview |
The purpose of this module is to allow you to build on your existing compositional experience. The module offers you the opportunity to begin to develop a personal compositional voice and to arrange performances of your pieces. |

To initiate the development of your compositional style, within the context of practical opportunities offered by the Department. |

Learning Outcomes |
Upon completion of this module you should be able to:
Demonstrate the ability to write idiomatically for voices and instruments
Organize, rehearse and deliver performances of your own compositions
Transferable skills:
Use and access a range of resources (including IT) and learn how to plan work to meet deadlines
Contributing to University life through the performance of your compositions
Work effectively with others as a member of a group and meet your obligations to them

- Examination of distinct compositional elements through the study of a number of examples drawn from a wide variety of musical styles
