Assessment 1. A solo performance of about 5 minutes duration at a performance seminar in the early part of the Spring semester. Choice of repertoire to be agreed with the Module Convenor and instrumental tutor. (45%)
Examination: (55% of the assessment)
Assessment 2. A solo performance of not less than 5 minutes duration at a performance seminar in the final part of the Spring semester. Choice of repertoire to be agreed with the Module Convenor and instrumental tutor. (55%) |

To enable you to develop instrumental/vocal expertise.

- show enhanced instrumental/vocal ability and confidence as a solo performer
- satisfy the Criteria of Assessment for Level HE1 Performance
- display independence of learning
- identify and meet practice targets

Individual tuition and experience in performance as a soloist.

Contact Hours and Methodology:
- regular individual tuition with your instrumental teacher
- attendance at, and participation in concerts, workshops and designated Performance Seminars as required
- tutorials with the Module Convenor
