Assessment Pattern
The report will be assessed independently by a visiting tutor and one other member of the academic staff. The two examiners will then agree a final mark. In the case of a disagreement between the two examiners, the Head of Department (or a nominee) will moderate their assessments and award a final mark. The marks of the year group as a whole will be moderated at a meeting of all the examiners. If, after taking account of special circumstances (see above), the report is not submitted on time, then a mark of 0% will be awarded in line with the Departments late work policy. In such circumstances a new deadline will be set and assessed as above, but the mark awarded will be subject to the standard reassessment penalty as set out in University regulations.
