Module Overview

This module aims to provide the student with an opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during the programme to a set problem of international marketing with a view to supporting reasoned choices.

None

Module Aims

At the end of the module, the student should be able to undertake a basic investigation leading to conclusions which are theoretically underpinned and empirically supported on some international business problem identified from the literature.

Learning Outcomes

On succesful completion on the module students will be able to:

  • Analyse relevant research topics
  • Evaluate the critiriea and parameters for the project
  • Evaluate the requirements for a research proposal 
  • Critically discuss the purpose and methods of international research
  • Evaluate links from litreature to hypotheses
  • Critically evaluate research questions
  • Discuss the difficulties and limitations of international research
  • Evaluate the critirea for writing up methodology
  • Evaluate the use of theory in underpinning research 
  • Critically evaluate and discuss the process of data collection
