Module Overview

This module is the third part of the School of Management Professional Development Thread .  The content of the Business Delivery Skills module has far-reaching implications for the student’s future scholarly work, vacation internships, professional training placement and graduate employability.

Module Aims

To ensure that students are able to develop the transferable skills, attitudes and abilities that will enable them to study successfully and to function effectively in modern society with specific focus on achieving group objectives effectively and efficiently and making an impact in the workplace.

 To allow students to continue to engage in the personal and professional development process that is integral to the School of Management undergraduate programmes. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module the students will be able to:

 

1.      Understand the concepts of achieving objectives in relation to group working

 

2.      Display competence in project and group working.

 

3.      Carry out a group business research project

 

4.      Present themselves and their achievements effectively through spoken and written format

 

5.      Continue to develop as effective, independent and confident self-directed learners

 

6.      Relate their skills and attitudes to their longer term employability

 

7.      Articulate personal goals and evaluate progress towards their achievement

 

8.      Understand how to make a positive impact in the workplace
