The assessment strategy is designed to demonstrate the students’ achievement of the learning outcomes by setting oral and written tasks and tests. The assessment will be formative and summative.
The assessment methods include ongoing assessment by the tutor, taking into account the students’ contributions to class and oral work as well as their fulfilment of weekly homework tasks, which will comprise 50% of the mark, and an end-of-module test, also 50%, comprising a writing, reading, listening and oral element, all equally weighted.
