Module Overview
This is a module that can be taken with special permission by part-time students only. Following an initial discussion with the module organiser, the student may be asked to produce an outline plan for the studies that s/he wishes to undertake, in which case a provisional dissertation supervisor will be allocated. The student will be allowed to proceed only if a formal plan can be agreed between the student and the supervisor. Normally, this module would be substituted for one of the optional modules that the student would otherwise take in the Spring semester. Permission to take this module is not simply a formality, and appropriate discussions should start, and arrangements be made, as early as possible in the academic year.
