Module Overview
A more advanced communications course covering elements of modern digital communications
Prerequisites/Co-requisites

None

Module Aims

To provide students with an understanding of signal characteristics and modern communication systems, building on the first year Signals & Communications module.

Learning Outcomes

Students will have a good understanding of the basic theory of communications, the methods used to modulate carriers, and their advantages and disadvantages, in the transfer of both analogue and digital information in both the broadcast and point-to-point radio and simple optical communications.
