Module Overview |
Analytical and report writing skills are valued by all employers. Economists analyse data to form opinions and draw conclusions about how a market or the economy works. Decisions based on this analysis can then be taken about how economists (or their clients) should act so as to optimise their position. The purpose of this module is to teach data manipulation and analysis using Excel so that students are able to prepare concise written reports of their analysis and findings. Therefore, during the module students will be exposed to a variety of different web based data sources. Using the spectrum of tools and formulas available in Excel you will analyse the relationships that exist between market variables and report on your findings. |
