Module Overview |
This module initially covers descriptive statistics and exploratory data analysis. It then covers the necessary basic mathematics topics necessary for the subsequent math module in level one. |

- to develop good data manipulation skills
- to develop the ability to transform economic models into mathematical format

Learning Outcomes |
On completion of this module students will:-
- be proficient in data presentation through computational methods
- understand the role mathematics plays in the representation and analysis of economic theory

- descriptive statistics including central tendancy, dispersion, skew and indices
- mathematical foundations including linear, quadratic and simultaneous equations with economic application
